What administrators should do
If managed Macs on macOS Sequoia 15 do not show macOS Tahoe 26 after the major-update deferral period expires, update to macOS Sequoia 15.7.5 or later, use a single deferral period for all OS updates, use MDM to install the allowed Tahoe version, or remove the major-update deferral. Apple notes macOS Sequoia 15.7.5 and later use a single deferral period, while macOS Tahoe 26 and later continue to support separate major-update deferrals.
What happens if this is ignored
Managed Macs may not present the allowed macOS Tahoe 26 update after the intended deferral window, delaying fleet upgrades and support timelines.
