1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using CertPilot, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What CertPilot provides
CertPilot is a software service for agencies and other business users who need visibility into SSL certificate expiry, domain expiry, DNS records, alerting, and downloadable PDF reporting.
3. Eligibility and business use
CertPilot is intended for business and professional use. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the service is lawful and authorized.
4. Accounts
To use certain parts of CertPilot, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activities that happen under your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service. For example, you must not:
- use CertPilot for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent activity,
- interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure,
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems,
- use the public health-check tool in a way that creates abuse or excessive automated load,
- reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit the service beyond lawful use, or
- use CertPilot to violate the rights or privacy of others.
6. Monitoring data and reports
CertPilot uses public or service-accessible technical data to perform checks, including certificate metadata, DNS information, and domain registration or RDAP-related data where available.
Monitoring results, alerts, scores, and reports are provided for operational convenience. You remain responsible for reviewing issues and making decisions based on your own judgment.
7. Free trial and subscriptions
CertPilot may offer a free trial and paid subscription plans. Access to features may depend on your current plan, account status, and billing status.
If you choose a paid plan, billing is handled through a third-party payment provider. Subscription charges, renewals, cancellations, and billing details are governed by the payment flow presented at checkout.
8. Payments and refunds
Fees are charged according to the selected plan. Unless otherwise stated, subscription fees are billed in advance and are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide to provide a refund in our discretion.
9. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free operation.
10. Third-party services
CertPilot relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, payments, email delivery, and infrastructure. We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control.
11. Intellectual property
CertPilot and its underlying software, branding, text, design, and related materials are owned by CertPilot or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
12. Your data
You retain responsibility for the domains, client references, and other information you submit into the service. You confirm that you have the right to use that information with CertPilot.
13. Disclaimers
CertPilot is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to CertPilot in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to CertPilot if you violate these terms, misuse the service, fail to pay required fees, or if continued service would create legal, security, or operational risk.
