Who is affected
All organizations self-hosting Atlassian Data Center products (Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bamboo, Crowd) and their Marketplace apps.

What administrators should do
Plan the move off Data Center: new customers can no longer purchase subscriptions (since March 30, 2026), existing customers can expand or renew licenses only until March 30, 2028, and on March 28, 2029 Data Center subscriptions expire and products become read-only. Affected: Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bamboo, Crowd, and their Marketplace apps. Bitbucket Data Center is excluded and gets a hybrid license option. What happens if this is ignored
After March 30, 2028 licenses cannot be expanded, and on March 28, 2029 Data Center products become read-only — an unplanned, forced migration under deadline.
