Google Jamboard went view-only on October 1, 2024 and shut down on December 31, 2024, permanently deleting Jam files. Back them up first.

Who is affected
Organizations that used the Google Jamboard app for collaborative whiteboards on web, iOS, Android, or Jamboard hardware.
Admin roles to involve: Google Workspace super admin, Collaboration/service admin
What administrators should do
Back up or migrate Jam files before December 31, 2024 — after that date the Jamboard app was wound down and Jam files were permanently deleted. From October 1, 2024 the app was view-only (no new or edited Jams). Google pointed customers to FigJam, Lucidspark, and Miro as whiteboard replacements; Jamboard 55-inch devices were replaced by Google Meet boards.
What happens if this is ignored
Jam files that were not backed up before December 31, 2024 were permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
