What administrators should do
Move users from perpetual Project 2016 / 2019 desktop to a subscription Project plan or supported perpetual release. The apps keep running but receive no security updates or support after October 14, 2025. This is separate from the Project Online (cloud) retirement on September 30, 2026.
What happens if this is ignored
Project desktop keeps working but receives no security updates, accumulating unpatched vulnerabilities.
