What administrators should do

Identify Apps Script projects that still depend on the legacy Rhino runtime, including bound scripts, add-ons, automations, web apps, triggers, and deployed versions. Migrate them to the V8 runtime, update Rhino-only syntax or incompatible behavior, and retest triggers, add-ons, web apps, and versioned deployments. Rhino was deprecated on February 20, 2025 and stopped executing after January 31, 2026.

What happens if this is ignored

Any project that still depends on Rhino no longer executes, which can break automations, add-ons, triggers, and web apps until the project is migrated and retested on V8.

Why this is rated high: severity comes from a fixed rubric — this entry is a deprecation that requires administrator action. Time-to-deadline is shown separately and never changes the rating.
