IT Admin Change Calendar Google Workspace
Owned secondary calendars are automatically shown in users' calendar lists
Google Calendar now always displays secondary calendars a user owns in their calendar list, so owners can manage sharing and lifecycle directly.
Product
Google Calendar
Announced
19 January 2026
Effective from
27 January 2026
Who is affected
All Google Workspace users who own secondary calendars. Rollout to Workspace domains started January 27, 2026.
Admin roles to involve: Google Workspace super admin
Why no action is required
No action required — the change applies by default to all users. It helps owners notice secondary calendars they are responsible for, which supports the October 2026 secondary-calendar lifecycle change: encourage users to review the calendars now visible in their list and hand off any they own on behalf of a team.
What happens if this is ignored
None — this is a display/ownership-visibility change with no configuration impact.
